About the Role
As a full-time Y-Abilities Instructor with Merrimack Valley YMCA, you will deliver energetic, well-informed instruction to members, families, volunteers, and program participants. The heart of this position is flexibility: tailoring each activity so that individuals with a wide range of needs and abilities can take part fully and confidently. Every day, you'll help cultivate a welcoming environment built on the YMCA's mission and core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and motivate program participants with encouraging, knowledgeable leadership.
- Modify and adapt activities to accommodate diverse individual needs and varying levels of ability.
- Support members, families, and volunteers in a positive, inclusive setting.
- Champion a culture of service excellence in every interaction.
- Actively promote and uphold the mission and core values of the YMCA.
Qualifications
- A genuine passion for working with people of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills to engage participants, families, and volunteers.
- Ability to adapt instruction and programming to meet individual needs.
- Commitment to service excellence and to advancing the values of the YMCA.
- Availability for full-time, on-site work in the US.
