About the Role

As a CDL A Flatbed Regional Truck Driver with McLeod Express, you'll run short-haul flatbed freight on routes that typically stay within 500 miles or less of Assumption, IL. The position pairs steady regional mileage with the predictability of getting home every week, making it a strong fit for experienced flatbed drivers who value a balanced schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A flatbed tractor-trailer safely on regional short-haul lanes, generally 500 miles or fewer from Assumption, IL.
• Properly load, secure, tarp, and unload flatbed freight in line with safety and DOT standards.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep accurate logs and required paperwork.
• Communicate with dispatch to keep deliveries on schedule and represent McLeod Express professionally with customers.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A (Commercial Driver's License, Class A).
• Flatbed experience, including load securement and tarping.
• Clean, safety-focused driving record and a commitment to compliance.
• Ability to work full-time and report to the Oakville, Saint Louis County area.

Compensation & Home Time

• Earn $0.70–$0.76 per mile on all miles, plus additional securement pay.
• Weekly home time on short-haul regional routes.
• Weekly pay protection and paid vacation.
• $1,000 orientation pay.
