Surface Landman II

BKV Corporation is hiring a full-time Surface Landman II in Sansom Park, Tarrant County, to support land and surface operations for one of the most active natural gas producers in the Barnett Shale.

About the Role

As a Surface Landman II at BKV Corporation, you will manage surface-use matters that keep field operations moving across our Sansom Park and broader Tarrant County footprint. This on-site position is a strong fit for an experienced land professional who enjoys negotiating agreements, building landowner relationships, and resolving surface issues that directly impact development and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate, prepare, and administer surface-use agreements, right-of-way contracts, easements, and damage settlements with landowners and tenants.
• Conduct title and ownership research to confirm surface rights and identify the appropriate parties for each transaction.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for surface owners, addressing questions and resolving concerns in a professional, timely manner.
• Coordinate with drilling, operations, regulatory, and legal teams to ensure surface access aligns with project schedules.
• Maintain accurate records, contracts, and documentation in line with company standards and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a surface landman or in a comparable land or right-of-way role, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
• Working knowledge of surface-use agreements, title research, and land contract administration.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Detail-oriented organizational habits and the ability to manage multiple agreements simultaneously.
• Willingness to work on-site in Sansom Park, Tarrant County, with field travel as needed.
