Associate (Interior Designer)

Michael Hsu Office of Architecture is seeking a full-time Associate (Interior Designer) to join our studio in Bee Cave, Travis County, and help shape interiors that elevate everyday experience through thoughtful design.

About the Role

As an Associate (Interior Designer) at Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, you will contribute to a portfolio rooted in hospitality and placemaking. This on-site role in Bee Cave, Travis County, places you within a collaborative, fully integrated team where architecture and interior design advance together across a wide spectrum of project types — from mixed-use developments and adaptive reuse to restaurants, hotels, workspaces, and single family homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts and detailed solutions that reflect our hospitality-driven, placemaking approach.
• Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project leaders throughout each phase of design and delivery.
• Support a diverse range of work, including mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse, public realm design, architectural branding, residences, hotels, restaurants, and workspaces.
• Help translate design intent into refined materials, finishes, and spatial details.
• Contribute to the quality, consistency, and creative ambition of every project.

Qualifications

• A background in interior design with experience suited to an associate-level contributor.
• Strong design sensibility aligned with hospitality and placemaking principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an integrated architecture and interior design practice.
• Comfort working across varied project scales and typologies.
• Availability to work full-time, on-site in Bee Cave, Travis County (this position is not remote).
