About the Role

As the Summer Day Camp Director in Sconset, Nantucket, you are the face of KE Camps on location. You will oversee daily operations, guide your counseling team, and create a safe, energetic environment where campers learn, play, and make lifelong memories. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility and loves working with kids.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day running of a traditional day camp program for elementary-aged children
• Lead, train, and support a team of camp counselors and staff
• Plan and coordinate engaging daily activities, games, and special events
• Serve as the primary point of contact between KE Camps, the host country club, and camper families
• Champion camper safety, well-being, and a positive, inclusive atmosphere at all times

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading children's programs, camps, or youth activities
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• A genuine passion for working with elementary-aged children
• Reliability and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced summer setting
• Availability to work full-time, on-site in Sconset, Nantucket (this role is not remote)
