About the Role
As an Outdoor Pursuits Guide, you will lead memorable recreation and adventure experiences for guests of Montage Hotels & Resorts. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the US, ideal for someone who thrives outdoors and takes genuine pride in delivering warm, personalized service. You'll be the friendly expert who introduces visitors to the landscape, sets the tone for safe exploration, and turns each excursion into a highlight of their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, host, and guide outdoor activities and excursions tailored to guests of all experience levels.
- Share local knowledge of trails, terrain, wildlife, and seasonal conditions to enrich every outing.
- Prioritize guest safety by reviewing equipment, communicating guidelines, and responding calmly to changing conditions.
- Deliver attentive, gracious service that reflects the refined hospitality Montage is known for.
- Maintain gear and recreation areas so they are clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to coordinate schedules, reservations, and guest requests.
Qualifications
- A genuine passion for the outdoors and for creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a welcoming, service-first attitude.
- Comfort working actively outdoors in a variety of weather and terrain conditions.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to keep guests safe at all times.
- Availability for a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as the season requires.
