About the Role
As a Sr. Operator with Van Drunen in Crown Point, you will run and oversee processing equipment that keeps our manufacturing lines moving safely and efficiently. This on-site position suits a seasoned operator who takes pride in consistency, food-safety standards, and steady throughput, and who is comfortable guiding less-experienced teammates through day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment to meet output and quality targets
- Follow established safety, sanitation, and quality procedures throughout each shift
- Perform routine adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and equipment changeovers
- Document production data accurately and flag deviations or downtime promptly
- Support and mentor operators, helping reinforce best practices on the line
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating production or processing equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Crown Point, Lake County
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work and standing for extended periods
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to communicate clearly with coworkers
Compensation
- Expected pay range of $22.00 – $24.63 per hour
- Shift differential of $1.50 per hour
- Eligible for supplemental bonus and incentive programs tied to individual and company performance metrics
- Benefits eligible
