About the Role

As an Ink Technician with American Packaging Corporation, you will be a vital part of the press and production team at our Story City facility. You will manage the preparation, mixing, matching, and maintenance of inks used across our flexible packaging printing processes, ensuring every job meets exacting quality and color standards before it reaches the press.

Key Responsibilities

• Mix, match, and adjust inks to meet precise color specifications and customer requirements
• Maintain accurate records of ink formulas, batches, and inventory levels
• Monitor ink viscosity, consistency, and quality throughout production runs
• Support press operators with timely ink supply and troubleshooting on the floor
• Keep the ink room, equipment, and work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Collaborate with the production team to resolve color and quality issues efficiently

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with reliable color perception and judgment
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to follow formulas, instructions, and safety procedures accurately
• Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to work on-site in Story City, Story County
• Prior experience in ink, printing, packaging, or a related production setting is a plus
