AbbVie‘s Product Development Science & Technology (PDS&T) organization is seeking a highly motivated, talented, and creative Senior Scientist II / Principal Research Scientist I to be a key contributor for our Process Engineering Science team within Parenteral PDS&T, offering advanced technical expertise in the field of process engineering and troubleshooting of parenteral manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Profound knowledge of equipment and processing capabilities
• Leadership in development and life cycle for parenteral manufacturing processes
• Collaboration with global engineering, manufacturing, process development, quality and external partners
• Technical guidance to development or manufacturing teams
• Troubleshooting and identification of solutions to issues that arise during manufacturing
• Delivery of technical/process expertise for selection and design of process equipment, e.g. filling machines, and facility design
• Representation of the parenteral PDS&T group in cross-functional teams
• Development of strong relationships with manufacturing, engineering, quality functions and external partners
• Support of development projects with focus on process engineering topics
• Independent work on scientific topics, evaluation and implementation of new technologies
• Drive of global initiatives and presentation of results convincingly to diverse audiences
