Production Manager

Heartland Meat Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations at its meat processing facility in Chula Vista, San Diego County. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a hands-on leader passionate about quality meat production and team excellence.

About the Role

As Production Manager at Heartland Meat Co., Inc., you will oversee the production of specialty beef, pork, poultry, lamb, and offal products at our Chula Vista facility. You will be responsible for keeping operations running smoothly, maintaining the high standards our products are known for, and guiding the production team toward consistent, efficient output.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily production activities across meat processing operations
• Uphold rigorous quality, safety, and food handling standards throughout the facility
• Lead, schedule, and develop production staff to meet output and quality targets
• Monitor workflows, equipment, and inventory to ensure timely, efficient production
• Support continuous improvement of processes for specialty cuts and signature products

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production management, ideally within meat processing or food manufacturing
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a production team
• Solid understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities
• Availability for full-time, on-site work in Chula Vista, San Diego County
