LaunchSquad is hiring a Director, Energy & Infrastructure Communications in New York City, New York to lead high-impact storytelling for companies redefining how the world powers and connects itself.
About the Role
As Director, Energy & Infrastructure Communications, you'll spearhead media relations, executive positioning, and integrated narrative programs for innovative organizations working at the frontier of energy and infrastructure. Based in New York City, this full-time, in-office role puts you at the center of campaigns that build visibility, shape industry conversations, and accelerate growth for some of the most ambitious brands in the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct media relations strategy and cultivate relationships with reporters, editors, and outlets covering energy and infrastructure.
- Develop and steward executive communications, including thought leadership, speaking opportunities, and leadership visibility programs.
- Craft compelling, multi-channel storytelling that translates complex technology into clear, resonant narratives.
- Lead communications programs from concept through execution, ensuring measurable awareness and growth outcomes for clients.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for client leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading communications, public relations, or media relations programs, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or related technology fields.
- A track record of securing earned media and building executive profiles at the director level or equivalent.
- Strong writing and editorial judgment, with the ability to shape sophisticated subject matter into accessible stories.
- Confidence managing client relationships and guiding senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in New York City, New York.
