About the Role
As a Senior Software Development Manager at Oracle, you will guide a talented group of engineers who design, build, test, and refine software across databases, applications, developer tools, and networked environments. Drawing on your deep understanding of software architecture, you will steer the full development lifecycle — from early design decisions through debugging and delivery — for applications, operating systems, and the platforms that support them. This is a full-time, on-site position in Boston.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers within Oracle's software development organization.
- Oversee the planning, design, development, and troubleshooting of software programs spanning databases, applications, tools, and networks.
- Apply software architecture expertise to direct engineering tasks for applications, operating systems, and underlying platforms.
- Coordinate debugging and quality efforts to ensure reliable, well-built software.
- Balance technical priorities with team management to deliver projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams and development initiatives.
- Strong command of software architecture and the end-to-end software development process.
- Hands-on background in designing, developing, and debugging software across databases, applications, and networked systems.
- Ability to lead technical decision-making while supporting and developing engineering talent.
