UL Solutions is hiring a Senior Counsel - M&A to join its Legal team in Northbrook, Cook County, advising corporate and business leaders on high-impact transactions and governance matters.

About the Role

As Senior Counsel - M&A at UL Solutions in Northbrook, Cook County, you will serve as a primary attorney supporting the company's corporate and business leadership. Reporting to the Vice President of Legal and Assistant Corporate Secretary, you will act as a trusted advisor on legal questions that carry significant strategic weight, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. This is a full-time, on-site position based at the company's Northbrook headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal guidance to corporate and business leaders on issues of material importance to UL Solutions.
• Lead and support mergers, acquisitions, and related corporate transactions from evaluation through completion.
• Advise on corporate governance matters and help safeguard the organization's legal interests.
• Serve as a dependable point of contact for senior stakeholders, translating complex legal considerations into clear, actionable counsel.
• Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Legal and Assistant Corporate Secretary on priority initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with substantial experience advising on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.
• Proven ability to counsel executive and business leadership on matters of significant legal and strategic impact.
• Strong judgment, communication skills, and the credibility to act as a trusted legal advisor.
• Comfortable working on-site in Northbrook, Cook County in a full-time capacity.
