About the Role
As a 2026–2027 Educational Aide with Lubbock Independent School District, you will work alongside a classroom teacher to support instruction and student success in a Headstart/general elementary setting. This is a 10-month, non-exempt position (Pay Grade IS 1) based at Williams Elementary School. The Educational Aide reports to the assigned teacher and the campus principal, assistant principal, or his or her designee.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising teacher with daily instructional activities and classroom routines.
- Support individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Help prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized, welcoming learning environment.
- Monitor and supervise students in the classroom and during other campus activities.
- Contribute to a safe, positive, and encouraging atmosphere for elementary-age learners.
Qualifications
- Meet the educational and certification requirements established for educational aide positions within Lubbock Independent School District.
- Ability to follow teacher direction and work cooperatively as part of a campus team.
- Patience, dependability, and a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and learning.
- Willingness to work on-site full time at Williams Elementary School in Lubbock for the 10-month contract.
