Princeton Independent School District is hiring a full-time School Counselor at Godwin Elementary in Princeton, Collin County, to guide young learners toward academic, personal, and social success.
About the Role
As the School Counselor for Godwin Elementary, you will design and lead a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate guidance and counseling program for students on your assigned campus. Reporting directly to the Principal, you will partner with educators and families to nurture each child's growth and to support the unique needs of special population students. This is an on-site position based in Princeton, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and assess a campus-wide developmental guidance and counseling program.
- Provide individual and group counseling that helps students strengthen their academic, career, personal, and social skills.
- Identify and respond to the needs of special population students with appropriate support and resources.
- Collaborate with the Principal, teachers, and parents to promote student well-being and achievement.
- Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and adjust strategies to better serve students.
Qualifications
- Appropriate education and valid certification required for a School Counselor in the state of Texas.
- Knowledge of comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling practices at the elementary level.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families in a campus setting.
- Commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of every student.
