About the Role

As a Speech Pathologist with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown, you will evaluate and treat patients facing communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges throughout their recovery journey. Working within a collaborative inpatient rehabilitation setting in Auburn, Gloucester County, you'll design personalized therapy plans that move people closer to independence and a fuller quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients to identify speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Build and carry out individualized treatment programs tailored to each patient's goals.
• Track recovery progress and adapt therapy approaches as patients advance.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and the broader rehabilitation team to coordinate well-rounded care.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies that support continued progress at home.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with professional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure, or eligibility to practice, as a Speech Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or active progress toward it.
• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• A compassionate, patient-centered mindset and the ability to thrive within a team.
