ZEISS is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Development Manager – Aerospace and Defense based in the United States to grow strategic customer relationships and accelerate revenue across the aerospace and defense market. About the Role
As the Sales Development Manager – Aerospace and Defense, you will champion ZEISS solutions within one of the most demanding and innovation-driven sectors in the US. This is a full-time, in-person position focused on identifying new opportunities, nurturing key accounts, and translating cutting-edge ZEISS technology into measurable value for aerospace and defense clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute a sales development strategy targeting aerospace and defense customers across the US.
- Generate, qualify, and advance new business opportunities through the full sales cycle.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with engineering, procurement, and program decision-makers.
- Position ZEISS technologies as solutions to complex precision, quality, and measurement challenges.
- Collaborate with internal technical, marketing, and product teams to align offerings with customer needs.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and pipeline performance to inform forecasting.
Qualifications
- Proven success in technical, B2B, or solution-based sales, ideally within aerospace, defense, or industrial markets.
- Strong ability to develop relationships and influence multiple stakeholders in long, complex sales cycles.
- Comfort communicating sophisticated technology concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
- Self-directed, results-oriented approach with willingness to travel as required for this US-based, on-site role.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
