Greenlight Networks is hiring a full-time Outside Fiber Technician in Buffalo, Erie County to help bring ultra-high-speed internet to homes and businesses across the region. About the Role

As an Outside Fiber Technician with Greenlight Networks, you'll often be one of the first faces our customers meet. Working in the field across Buffalo and the surrounding Erie County area, your job is to make every installation smooth, reliable, and customer-focused — setting the standard for fast, dependable internet service from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber-optic connections and related equipment in the field.
• Run, test, and document cabling across all media types to confirm signal quality and reliability.
• Serve as an early point of contact for customers, guiding them through a seamless installation experience.
• Diagnose service issues on-site and resolve them efficiently to keep customers connected.
• Uphold a consistently high standard of workmanship and customer care on every visit.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cabling, fiber installation, testing, and troubleshooting is strongly valued.
• Comfortable performing outdoor, field-based work in varying conditions.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and quality testing.
• Customer-first mindset with clear, friendly communication skills.
• Able to work full-time, on-site in the Buffalo, Erie County area (this is not a remote position).
