Senior Security Specialist

Bechtel Corporation is hiring a full-time Senior Security Specialist in Lonsdale, Knox County (Knoxville, TN) to help safeguard the people, assets, and infrastructure behind some of the world's most ambitious engineering programs.

About the Role

As a Senior Security Specialist with Bechtel Corporation, you will serve as a trusted security leader on a full-time, office- and project-based assignment in Lonsdale, Knox County. This is an on-site position (no telework), where you will shape and uphold the protective measures that keep complex projects running safely and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and enforce security protocols across project sites and office facilities.
• Assess potential risks and recommend practical safeguards to protect personnel, property, and sensitive information.
• Lead investigations into security incidents and document findings with clear, actionable reporting.
• Partner with project teams, leadership, and external agencies to maintain a consistent culture of safety and compliance.
• Monitor adherence to applicable security regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a senior or specialist security capacity, ideally within construction, engineering, or large-scale project environments.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment, incident response, and physical security operations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to brief stakeholders at every level.
• Willingness to work on-site full time in Knoxville, TN (relocation is not authorized for this opening).
