Agilent’s Diagnostics and Genomics Group is seeking acustomer‑focused In‑Field CustomerApplicationSpecialist (CAS) to support new and existing customers in the Boston, MA territory. This role serves as thescientific and technical expert for Agilent’s Pathology and Genomics Solutions, partnering closely withsales, service, and internal teams to drive growth, ensure successful implementations, and optimize customer outcomes.
This is aremote, home‑based position, with the expectation of frequent travel throughout the assigned territory to visit customer sites as business needs require.
Territory Coverage
- This is a multistate territory and includes: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts
- The ideal candidate must reside in the Boston area.
- No relocation is available at this time.
- Position isremote/home‑office based within the territory
- Regular travel within the territory is required to supportpre‑sales, post‑sales, training, and customer optimization activities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre‑salesscientific and technical consultation, partnering withSalesto guide customers toward optimal Pathology and Genomics solutions
- Support customer meetings andpresentations as thetechnical subject matterexpert (in‑personand remote)
- Co‑travel withSalesAccount Managers to develop new business and support existing accounts
- Supportpost‑salesinstallations, including on‑site training and Performance Qualification, in collaboration with Field ServiceEngineers and internal teams
- Optimize customer assays, includingIHC, Special Stains, H&E, and Molecular ISH/FISH
- Deliveron‑site and remotetroubleshooting inpartnership withApplications, Technical Support,Sales, and Service teams
- Act as thecustomer voice, providing feedback to influence future product andapplicationdevelopment
- Maintain awareness of competitive solutions and articulate Agilent’s value differentiators
- Complete required administrative activities, including scheduling, travel, expenses, and service documentation
- Support our Lexington Center of Excellence maintaining instrumentation, supporting customer demonstrations both remote and on site, and staining slides from customers on Agilent instrumentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Life Sciences or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience supporting pathology and genomics instrumentation and workflows in clinical or laboratory environments
- HT or QIHC certification is a plus
- Strong scientific and technical background in:
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
- Special Stains and H&E
- Molecular techniques, including ISH/FISH
- Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively
- Up to 75% travel with flexible working hours
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform hands-on laboratory activities
- Must meet Agilent‑approved customer and vendor credentialing requirements for site access, where applicable
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least June 24, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted. It is sales incentive eligible. In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $105,075.00 – $175,125.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
